Description of the establishment
Tucked away in an inner courtyard under the arcades of the historic centre of Pinerolo, Trattoria Zappatori has always been an institution in Piedmontese cuisine.
The trattoria was run by his parents for many years and Christian was born and grew up around the ovens. It is the place where he invents new techniques almost unconsciously and refines his palate. At the age of 25, Christian Milone left the kitchens of the great Enrico Crippa after honing his gastronomic skills, and took over the reins of the family restaurant, transforming Trattoria Zappatori to reflect his own style of cuisine.
A cuisine with two aspects, offering a traditional menu on one side, as a tribute to the great classics of Piedmontese cuisine; and on the other, a menu designed to give free rein to Milone's creativity and the expression of his cuisine, as evidenced in the "Menu Gastronovicella".
Gastronomic skills acknowledged by the Michelin guide in 2016, when Christian was awarded his first star.
