General Terms and Conditions

Les Collectionneurs loyalty programme, offered by les Collectionneurs, is designed to provide Les Collectionneurs loyalty programme members with the advantages detailed hereafter when they visit les Collectionneurs hotels and restaurants.
The list of hotels and restaurants participating in les Collectionneurs loyalty programme is available for consultation on www.chateauxhotels.co.uk. Members shall not receive credits if an establishment leaves the les Collectionneurs network after the booking is made but before their actual stay.
Hotels outside the euro zone are not to propose the loyalty program “Collectionneurs”.
3.1. Terms of membership
All natural persons of full legal age (as per the law of the member’s country) can participate. Programme membership is free. The loyalty card is strictly nominative and cannot be sold or loaned. The loyalty card is not a means of payment. The member is responsible for any transactions to and from his/her account. A personal e-mail address is required to register for the programme. The same e-mail address cannot be accepted for two different members.
Members accept that the programme may be modified, in part or whole, at any time and without notice. Members can take note of modifications by consulting www.chateauxhotels.co.uk. These General Terms and Conditions are applicable as of 01/06/2014.
3.2. How to become a member
3.2.1. At hotels and/or restaurants participating in the programme
Customers can register for the Collectionneurs loyalty programme when they visit an hotel or restaurant participating in the programme. The receptionist or waiter shall provide the new member with an activated loyalty card after registering his/her personal details. The member can then enjoy all the services offered by the loyalty programme. New members can log into their customer account at any time on www.chateauxhotels.co.uk (they will be sent an email with their username and password details).
3.2.2 On www.chateauxhotels.co.uk
Customers can also register for the Collectionneurs Loyalty Programme using the membership form available on www.chateauxhotels.co.uk, in the ‘My Account’ section. A valid e-mail address is required for each member. Members who register via the website can retrieve their loyalty card when next visiting an hotel and/or restaurant participating in the programme.
The card is given to the member once registered for the programme and during his/her visit to the hotel and/or restaurant. Use of the card by the member means acceptance of the programme’s terms and conditions. The following commitments and rules are to be adhered to by the member to enjoy programme benefits :
  • present card when visiting a participating hotel or restaurant
  • never loan or sell card to a third party
  • never commit or attempt fraud to collect credits
5.1. Cancellation by the member
The member can decide, at any time, to cancel his/her membership from les Collectionneurs programme. Terminating membership implies full withdrawal from the programme and a definitive end to any relationship between programme management and the member (full deletion of all data relating to the member and all credits annulled).
Members can cancel their membership by letter addressed to les Collectionneurs - Les Collectionneurs Loyalty Programme - Marketing Team - Bord de Seine 1, 3 esplanade du Foncet - 92441 ISSY LES MOULINEAUX CEDEX - FRANCE.
5.2. Cancellation by programme management
Any use of les Collectionneurs loyalty card contrary to these General Terms and Conditions may be sanctioned by immediate cancellation of the card and its advantages, account closure and annulment of all credits collected. No compensation may be claimed by the member for any reason whatsoever.
If the loyalty programme is terminated by Programme Management, members shall have two months within which to use their credits. All personal data about members will be deleted fromles Collectionneurs database two months from the date of programme termination.
6.1. Rules for credit acquisition
6.1.1. General rule
Credits cannot be transferred to another member. No sum of money can be given for credits collected, lost or unused.

6.1.1.1. Conditions for collecting credits
Members of les Collectionneurs programme collect credits when they book at a les Collectionneurs hotel and/or restaurant participating in the loyalty programme via the following means: :
  • Booking directly at a les Collectionneurs establishment participating in the programme.
  • Booking on www.chateauxhotels.co.uk. The member must log into his/her customer account to collect credits. Credits are actually awarded on the day of departure from the hotel or after payment of the bill at the restaurant.
  • Booking via les Collectionneurs Call Centre on 0892 230 075 from France and +33 1 72 72 92 02 from outside of France. Credits are actually awarded on the day of departure from the hotel or after payment of the bill at the restaurant.
6.1.1.2. Eligible services
  • hotel (sum of night’s accommodation and breakfast)
  • restaurant (total sum of bill)
  • other services subject to the establishment, enquire with the hotel or restaurant
6.1.1.3 Eligible / non-eligible rates
Eligible rates give entitlement to the programme’s benefits. All public rates, displayed at the establishment or on chateauxhotels.co.uk are eligible.
Group, seminar, tour operator rates and the purchase and use as mean of payment of gift boxes are not eligible for the accumulation or use of credits.
As regards the brand highlights, it is necessary to refer to the particular conditions of each offer to know if that offer allows or does not allow the collect and the use of credits or any advantage related to the programme.
Services booked via an agent or third party (travel agency, tour operator or other distribution channel) other than les Collectionneurs Call Centre and chateauxhotels.co.uk, do not give entitlement to credits or any other programme-related advantages.

6.1.1.4. Amount collected
For hotel expenditure: Members collect 3% of their expenditure in credits (sum of night’s accommodation and breakfast).
For restaurant expenditure: Members collect 2% of the total bill in credits.
A collectionneur can collect up to 10 people per shift.

6.1.2. Exceptions

6.1.2.1. First purchase
When first registering for the loyalty programme, issuance costs of 0.5% of expenditure are deducted from the amount collected by the Member. This means, when first registering for the programme only, the member shall collect 2.5% of his/her expenditure in credits at a les Collectionneurs hotel and 1.5% of expenditure at a les Collectionneurs restaurant.

6.1.2.2. Temporary increase to percentage collected
Les Collectionneurs establishments may decide to increase the general percentage rule for a given period. Whether hotel or restaurant, les Collectionneurs network member may decide to increase the percentage awarded in credits to 5% or 7%, given the member’s expenditure at their establishment.
The first purchase rule is still valid even if les Collectionneurs network member has decided to increase the general rule. 0.5% will be deducted for issuance costs from the 5% or 7% credits awarded.

6.2. Validity of "credits collected"
Credits awarded are valid for 18 months from the date of registering for use. This validity is extended by 18 months each time the member makes a new booking and presents his/her loyalty card.
7.1. General rules
The member must collect a minimum € 15 worth of credits in order to use credits.
Credits are nominative and cannot be used or sold to anyone other than the person identified on the loyalty card.
7.2 Terms of use
Credits can be used to pay for all or part of expenditure at les Collectionneurs establishments.
Members of les Collectionneurs programme can only use credits if they book at an hotel and/or restaurant participating in the loyalty programme via the following means: :
  • Booking directly at a les Collectionneurs establishment participating in the programme.
  • Booking online on www.chateauxhotels.co.uk. The member must log into his/her customer account to collect credits. Credits are actually awarded on the day of departure from the hotel or after payment of the bill at the restaurant.
  • Booking via les Collectionneurs Call Centre on 0892 230 075 from France and +33 1 72 72 92 02 from outside of France.
All public rates, displayed at the establishment or on chateauxhotels.co.uk are eligible.
Group, seminar, tour operator rates and the purchase and use as mean of payment of gift boxes and gift certificates are not eligible for the accumulation or use of credits.
The list of establishments participating in the programme can be consulted on chateauxhotels.co.uk.
No change can be given or exchanged for credits collected.
When using credits to pay for expenditure, members collect credits on the remainder left to pay after deduction of credits used.
Credits cannot be used to pay for a booking made using a promotional code.
If the member finds that credits have not been properly credited, or if the member is wrongly denied credits or membership-related benefits, les Collectionneurs liability shall be limited to correctly recording credits on the member’s account. The member has a two-month period, following date of departure from the establishment, within which to make a claim by letter to les Collectionneurs, Loyalty Programme - Marketing Team, Bord de Seine 1, 3 esplanade du Foncet - 92441 ISSY LES MOULINEAUX CEDEX - FRANCE.
In this letter, the member must explain the subject of his/her claim and attach a copy of the relevant invoice in the member’s name.
The member can consult all information relating to his/her membership of les Collectionneurs loyalty programme on chateauxhotels.co.uk. Members are offered the opportunity to receive promotional emails about the programme. If the member no longer wishes to receive promotional emails, he/she can unsubscribe at any time. Any changes to e-mail address, mobile phone number, name and/or postal address, or any other necessary detail, should be made by the member on his/her customer account on chateauxhotels.co.uk.
Data collected is processed by les Collectionneurs, responsible for data processing as part of programme membership and management, as well as the management of claims and sending information and communication.
In accordance with amended Act of 6 January 1978 (French law), each programme member has the right to access, query, modify and delete data pertaining to that member. Exercising the right to delete data during the programme will result in membership termination as defined in Article 5.1 of these terms and conditions. The member can exercise this right by letter, sent with a copy of his/her identity document, to les Collectionneurs, Les Collectionneurs Loyalty Programme - Marketing Team - Bord de Seine 1, 3 esplanade du Foncet - 92441 ISSY LES MOULINEAUX CEDEX - FRANCE.
Programme membership implies unconditional acceptance by members of these General Terms and Conditions. These General Terms and Conditions supersede and prevail over any prior terms and conditions.
In case of dispute between a Member and les Collectionneurs, the parties agree to first seek an amicable settlement.
ONLY FRENCH LAW IS APPLICABLE. Any disagreement or dispute arising in relation to these terms and conditions that cannot be resolved amicably between the parties shall be submitted to the competent courts of Paris (France).
The most recent version of these General Terms and Conditions for les Collectionneurs Loyalty Programme is available on www.chateauxhotels.co.uk and replaces all previous versions.
A customer account is created via the form available on chateauxhotels.co.uk. A valid e-mail address, along with a password chosen by the account beneficiary, are required to create an account. The customer will receive confirmation by e-mail. The customer account beneficiary is responsible for any transactions to and from his/her account. Any changes to e-mail address, name, postal address or any other necessary detail should be made by the customer account beneficiary on his/her customer account.
In accordance with the amended Act of 6 January 1978 (French law), each customer account beneficiary has the right to access, query, modify and delete data pertaining to that beneficiary. Exercising the right to delete his/her data will result in cancellation of the customer account. The customer account beneficiary can exercise this right by letter, sent with a copy of his/her identity document, to les Collectionneurs, ‘Les Collectionneurs’ Loyalty Programme - Marketing Team - Bord de Seine 1, 3 esplanade du Foncet - 92441 ISSY LES MOULINEAUX CEDEX - FRANCE.
