The welcome was warm and comprehensive. All the staff were a delight - professional, inviting, and obviously determined to provide service commensurate with this wonderful chateau hotel. What surprised me, however, was the amazing creations of the chef! We had the "Chef Sensation" four dish meal (which was easily 6). This was one of the best meals that I've had in the last two years of living in Europe (and dining a great deal). The dishes were delicious and endlessly inventive! (Breakfast the next day was also superb.) I had a lovely stay but a special congratulations to a remarkable chef!
Originally booked at the Château de Noyelles. Due to winter closure, we were transferred to Château du Romerel. Don't know what our stay in Noyelles would have been, but for sure we greatly enjoyed our stay at Romerel.
Very warm welcome by the person in charge who made us really felt at home. Our room was a spacious one with a king size bed.
Very clean. The Château is located downtown in a secluded park. Very quiet as it is located away from the main street. Ample parking. The cherry on the cake was breakfast. We spent one hour enjoying it all that under the constant attention from the same person. If we go back to this nice area of France, we will surely stop by it again and we do highly recommend it to any visitors.
While on a recent business trip to Bourgoin, I had the good fortune of staying at the Domaine des Sequoias. They should call the place, the Domaine des Cedars because of the majestic Cedar trees out front (but that's another story). It was a unique French countryside experience that you would never get at one of the big hotel chains. The piece de resistance of course was the dining - extraordinary.
Our lunch yesterday was a delight from start to finish. Interesting surprises, and a wonderful selection of flavours building up from each dish. The staff were extremely friendly and helped make the experience one to remember. Thank you Paloma. We visit you normally in the summer, sitting on the terrace, but on such a cold January day, this was out first time inside the restaurant, and equally enjoyable as the outside seating.
It was out 2nd visit to the Chateau heading home from the Alps, equally enjoyable, more so in fact as we were upgraded to a superb room due to issues with the hot water! Food was spectacular and beautifully presented, but probably too rich for us to be able to eat more than 1 night in a row..... Champagne at breakfast always a good start to the day!
We stay regularly at the hotel en route from Switzerland to the UK. The service is good, the restaurant extremely good. We have our two beagles who are easily accommodated. The staff are pleasant and professional. We especially liked room 2 which we we stayed in for the first time this stay. We recommend this hotel.
Great location (close to motorway but feels tucked away and by vineyards), comfortable room, amazing and high-standard "masterchef" food! But the best is the people (staff and owners)! They were very friendly and helpful, felt really welcome and we even got upgraded to an amazing suite to make sure it's warm and comfortable enough with our 7 months old. :) We didn't want to leave!!
We spent three fantastic nights here and it was absolutely faultless. A beautiful, perfect, and elegant place to stay, with wonderful gardens, lovely staff, and excellent food. Thank you for looking after us on our birthdays - we will always remember it and hope we can visit again in the future. It is rare to find somewhere so luxurious that manages to have charm and to feel so friendly - very special.
We had a very comfortable stay in this beautiful old building. The room and bathroom was the usual European size. We had no issues with the Wi-Fi or street noise. The hotel is walking distance to almost anywhere in Dijon. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were great.
We visited in the Winter, but would like to visit in the summer as well :-)
We really enjoyed our stay in this nice hotel. The staff was absolutely nice, professional and very helpful to our requests...... we loved it!!!
The only think that bothered us was to not have enough Light in the room and the bethroom, too dark.
Lovely little hotel, perfect location. Very safe. We RER'd from Gare du Nord to Luxembourg. Odeon at other end of road. We tended to use the buses (great Paris bus app). Rooms small but perfectly formed. Our balcony looked over the pretty street, very Parisien! Lift. Beds v comfortable, enough electric points, fridge, tv, bathroom excellent, plenty of soaps, shampoos etc and a hairdryer.
Staff charming, helpful. 24-hr reception. Comfortable lobby, good for waiting for friends. Bar.
Breakfast looked good but we preferred to hit the local brasseries for our petit dejeurner.
The rue is gorgeous. Plenty of eateries. We rather loved Pere Louis on the next corner... a last drink and breakfast!
The hotel is slightly more expensive than other 3*s but well worth the extra euros for the staff, facilities and convenience.
Highly recommended for sightseeing all of Paris and a lovely wander through the Jardins du Luxembourg to St Suplice & St Germain.
We escaped the north for a few days at the end of 2018 and found a warm welcome at the beautiful Abbaye de la Celle. Nice temperatures and the blue sky were in our favour. The hospitality as well as the food and service were so great that even grey skies would not hinder us to return.
