This large building dating back to the thirties has recently been refurbished. Superb location next to a park and near the casino, a major feature of this delightful spa town. Lovingly decorated, superbly comfortable rooms, with no expense spared to ensure your well-being. un bravo pour le personnel, pour le reste très moyen...tout est petit, chambre, salle de bain, ascenseur, parking. pas de bouteille d'eau offerte même une 33, pour une ville d'eau c'est dommage...la literie est moyenne, le petit déjeuner est suffisant pour moi, mais pas de gâteaux du jour spécifique. odeur forte à l'entrée , vieille moquette ?

Un super accueil, tout le personnel est attentionné et à votre écoute. Une chambre propre, spacieuse et au calme. Cadre agréable, très bien situé. Un petit déjeuner très sympa sous forme de buffet, avec du sucré et du salé. Le dîner au restaurant "le vivarais" était délicieux, une cuisine fine et raffinée. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

We have stayed in this hotel on two previous occasions, although many years ago! The hotel has been very well maintained and the room we had, although small, was very well equipped with a lovely spacious shower room. The restaurant is excellent.

Hotel Hellvie is a charming hotel but I think it is letting itself down somewhat. Our room had a very creaky door which could easily be cured with a touch of WD40. The shower head holder was broken so one could only shower while holding the shower head and the bathroom shelf was wobbly - again things which could easily be fixed. The receptionist was very welcoming but when we asked for a recommendation of a restaurant she gave us two names but no directions so it took us a while to find one of them and we couldn't find the other one at all. At a previous hotel we were given a town map with restaurant locations marked which was very useful. We hoped to have a drink in the hotel bar but this was unmanned and so we were not able to be served.

Our stay was a short one, but it was a lovely drive to the hotel and the hotel was nice and comfortable. It does look a little run down and in need of some paint. The biggest disappointment was that the restaurant was closed. We had chosen the hotel, in part because of the restaurant, as it was our wedding anniversary. Sadly, the best we could do was to go nearby to the Casino, where the food was okay, but not worth a celebration.

We only stayed one night, but the hotel has a good location and a nice garden and pool. The staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. The restyarant was shot on a monday,which was disappointing, but understandable. Our only criticism would be the small size of the bed.
