Description of the establishment

With towers and keeps, baroque and renaissance frescoes and wooden panelling, 18th century bedrooms looking out over the park, this 12th century château on the shores of Lake Geneva, close to Évian, is a fabulous place to stay and a must for food lovers. The garden that stretches away to the lakeside is truly superb. Leisure activities include cooking lessons or sailing on the lake from the private jetty.

Joli chateau, dommage que la piscine était hors dervice et les clients pas prévenus. On a trouvé que les alentours du chateau étaient pas très bien soignés, beaucoup de déchets et stockage de matériel à vue, mais probablement qu'on est venus au moment où Il se fait beau avant la haute saison. Le petit déjeuner est très bien et le restaurant était excellent! Le personnel en général très agréable.

Enorme potentiel, site magnifique. Plein de très belles salles pour réceptions et séminaires. Les hôtes sont gracieusement invités à visiter. Nous n'avons pas trouvé d'endroit où nous retrouver, nous assoir tous ensemble. Après fermeture du restaurant, il n'y a plus qu' à se retirer chacun dans sa chambre.

Schloss liegt in einem schönen Park direkt am Genfersee. Der Aufenthalt könnte noch um einiges angenehmer sein, wenn die Besitzer die Anlage etwas mehr pflegen würden und gewisse Investitionen für den Komfort und die Sicherheit (insbesondere der Zugang in den See) tätigen würden. Da wir aber aus früheren Aufenthalten schon vorgewarnt waren, haben wir dies in Kauf genommen. Leider war das Bett in Zimmer 7 (Prison) etwas gar klein für zwei erwachsene Personen.

This resort is full of history. I had the privilege to spend a nignt in the dunjeon bedroom from which the view on the Leman Lake is really outstanding. I strongly recommand further customers to live such an experience. The continental breakfast was great and the service nice enough. The restaurant is worth trying !!...

This chateau is very beautiful decoration great view. Staff were very friendly and gave my good advice where to go.Just like every chateau there are no lifts. This is the only one inconvenient we have big luggages (we have 7 people with a 86 years old mom) so we have to leave big luggage downstairs and have only a few stuff taken to our rooms.The others things are fine. Love the Geneva lake view just open the window.

Nous sommes venus parce que nous pouvions venir en bateau moteur privé et l'amarrer sur une place réservée proche, ce que nous avons bcp apprécié. Le deuxième point, c'était de s'offrir un bon repas le soir, ce qui était tout à fait réussi également. Par contre, nous ne sommes pas fan de chambres à l'ancienne, et la nôtre n'avait pas de quoi s'assoir les deux, mais avons très bien dormi dans un grand lit en mezzanine. Quant à la terrasse, au jacuzzi et la piscine non disponibles, dommage que nous étions trop tôt dans la saison. Pour le même prix, mieux vaut peut-être venir en été, mais voir si la terrasse extérieure du resto n'est pas trop bruyante si la chambre est au-dessus. Nous garderons un bon souvenir, entre autre, du petit moment passé le soir dans le parc au bord de l'eau.

A unique hotel /chateau which was a step back in time. Old antique furniture and artefacts everywhere. Grand fireplaces and chandeliers. Definitely a quirky interesting place. Always comfortably warm, some parts need refurbishing, but spotlessly clean. Comfortable bedroom but bathroom needs updating (no 19) . Genuinely welcoming and helpful staff and owners. Excellent food quality and service. (We ate full meals 2 nights ..plenty of choice on menu). Elegant and atmospheric for a weekend break. It was lovely to see fresh flowers on the stairs and dining tables. The main hall was in use for a wedding reception ..a fabulous unusual venue which would give a stunning backdrop for the wedding photographer.

It is a divine place, we liked everything! We had hoped that it will be a nice stay, but the reality turned out to be even better - a real fairy-tale! The place is not only extremely beautiful, comfortable, clean, it has a ''sole'' and a charming atmosphere of a real castle, in which the personnel makes you feel at home. The owners of the castle love it, do their best to take care of this fantastic place and to provide good rest to the guests. I would surely recommend to stay in this hotel - it is superb!

Enjoyed this hotel. Only problem was the heat in room. The children were on a mezzanine with no window and were suffocating. It was very hot in the room in July and there isn't any air conditioning or even a fan. The following day was rainy and the air was much cooler. Still, a few fans would be recommended.

Hotel room was very poor and so much so we tried to cancel on the day. Room 115 The floor was not level, not a problem of itself however: A. A bed that tilts to one side B. Headboard end some 6" lower creating a slope C. Bed too small for 2 adults and not covered in the advert D. No air conditioning compounding matters E. Bathroom than needs a refit Restaurant food & service Excellent and sadly let down by room described above

A very charming place with an excellent staff and restaurant which was the best on a three week tour of Europe eating at high-quality establishments every night. The twins do an extremely competent and professional job of running this hotel and the restaurant. An attempt to stay in the Dungeon failed due to the uncomfortableness of the bed and we returned to our other Chambre that we had also purchased. The hotel graciously credited some of the cost back to us. We are bicycle riders and enjoyed numerous jaunts into Switzerland anda around Lake Geneva while there. Great Place!!!!

Le château de Coudrée est charmant, situé en bord de lac, avec possibilités de baignade. Nous y étions en période de canicule, et avons apprécié cette possibilité. En revanche, notre chambre était située au deuxième étage, sous les toits, et nous y avons crevé de chaud, en dépit du ventilateur. En outre, nous sommes restés deux nuits, et personne n'est venu entretenir notre chambre: lit pas fait, produits de salle de bain et eau non renouvelés... C'était un peu juste pour un 4 étoiles.

Joli chateau, dommage que la piscine était hors dervice et les clients pas prévenus. On a trouvé que les alentours du chateau étaient pas très bien soignés, beaucoup de déchets et stockage de matériel à vue, mais probablement qu'on est venus au moment où Il se fait beau avant la haute saison. Le petit déjeuner est très bien et le restaurant était excellent! Le personnel en général très agréable.

Enorme potentiel, site magnifique. Plein de très belles salles pour réceptions et séminaires. Les hôtes sont gracieusement invités à visiter. Nous n'avons pas trouvé d'endroit où nous retrouver, nous assoir tous ensemble. Après fermeture du restaurant, il n'y a plus qu' à se retirer chacun dans sa chambre.

Schloss liegt in einem schönen Park direkt am Genfersee. Der Aufenthalt könnte noch um einiges angenehmer sein, wenn die Besitzer die Anlage etwas mehr pflegen würden und gewisse Investitionen für den Komfort und die Sicherheit (insbesondere der Zugang in den See) tätigen würden. Da wir aber aus früheren Aufenthalten schon vorgewarnt waren, haben wir dies in Kauf genommen. Leider war das Bett in Zimmer 7 (Prison) etwas gar klein für zwei erwachsene Personen.

This resort is full of history. I had the privilege to spend a nignt in the dunjeon bedroom from which the view on the Leman Lake is really outstanding. I strongly recommand further customers to live such an experience. The continental breakfast was great and the service nice enough. The restaurant is worth trying !!...

This chateau is very beautiful decoration great view. Staff were very friendly and gave my good advice where to go.Just like every chateau there are no lifts. This is the only one inconvenient we have big luggages (we have 7 people with a 86 years old mom) so we have to leave big luggage downstairs and have only a few stuff taken to our rooms.The others things are fine. Love the Geneva lake view just open the window.

Nous sommes venus parce que nous pouvions venir en bateau moteur privé et l'amarrer sur une place réservée proche, ce que nous avons bcp apprécié. Le deuxième point, c'était de s'offrir un bon repas le soir, ce qui était tout à fait réussi également. Par contre, nous ne sommes pas fan de chambres à l'ancienne, et la nôtre n'avait pas de quoi s'assoir les deux, mais avons très bien dormi dans un grand lit en mezzanine. Quant à la terrasse, au jacuzzi et la piscine non disponibles, dommage que nous étions trop tôt dans la saison. Pour le même prix, mieux vaut peut-être venir en été, mais voir si la terrasse extérieure du resto n'est pas trop bruyante si la chambre est au-dessus. Nous garderons un bon souvenir, entre autre, du petit moment passé le soir dans le parc au bord de l'eau.

A unique hotel /chateau which was a step back in time. Old antique furniture and artefacts everywhere. Grand fireplaces and chandeliers. Definitely a quirky interesting place. Always comfortably warm, some parts need refurbishing, but spotlessly clean. Comfortable bedroom but bathroom needs updating (no 19) . Genuinely welcoming and helpful staff and owners. Excellent food quality and service. (We ate full meals 2 nights ..plenty of choice on menu). Elegant and atmospheric for a weekend break. It was lovely to see fresh flowers on the stairs and dining tables. The main hall was in use for a wedding reception ..a fabulous unusual venue which would give a stunning backdrop for the wedding photographer.

It is a divine place, we liked everything! We had hoped that it will be a nice stay, but the reality turned out to be even better - a real fairy-tale! The place is not only extremely beautiful, comfortable, clean, it has a ''sole'' and a charming atmosphere of a real castle, in which the personnel makes you feel at home. The owners of the castle love it, do their best to take care of this fantastic place and to provide good rest to the guests. I would surely recommend to stay in this hotel - it is superb!

Enjoyed this hotel. Only problem was the heat in room. The children were on a mezzanine with no window and were suffocating. It was very hot in the room in July and there isn't any air conditioning or even a fan. The following day was rainy and the air was much cooler. Still, a few fans would be recommended.

Hotel room was very poor and so much so we tried to cancel on the day. Room 115 The floor was not level, not a problem of itself however: A. A bed that tilts to one side B. Headboard end some 6" lower creating a slope C. Bed too small for 2 adults and not covered in the advert D. No air conditioning compounding matters E. Bathroom than needs a refit Restaurant food & service Excellent and sadly let down by room described above

A very charming place with an excellent staff and restaurant which was the best on a three week tour of Europe eating at high-quality establishments every night. The twins do an extremely competent and professional job of running this hotel and the restaurant. An attempt to stay in the Dungeon failed due to the uncomfortableness of the bed and we returned to our other Chambre that we had also purchased. The hotel graciously credited some of the cost back to us. We are bicycle riders and enjoyed numerous jaunts into Switzerland anda around Lake Geneva while there. Great Place!!!!

Le château de Coudrée est charmant, situé en bord de lac, avec possibilités de baignade. Nous y étions en période de canicule, et avons apprécié cette possibilité. En revanche, notre chambre était située au deuxième étage, sous les toits, et nous y avons crevé de chaud, en dépit du ventilateur. En outre, nous sommes restés deux nuits, et personne n'est venu entretenir notre chambre: lit pas fait, produits de salle de bain et eau non renouvelés... C'était un peu juste pour un 4 étoiles.
