« Go for a wonderful ride amongst the 500 hectares of this Camargue estate »

Description of the establishment

Located in the heart of the wild and secret Camargue region, this elegant 17th century building is a subtle compromise between the generosity of a guest home and an attractive privately-run hotel. Simple and sophisticated, this property is full of character and tradition splendidly reflecting the wishes of the owners, Lucille and Frédéric Bon. “Le Mas de Peint” is itself a voyage of discovery, with its fine, comfortable rooms, authentic cooking and outstanding service. The 500 hectare estate can be discovered on horseback or at the wheel of a 4x4. A unique location for seminars. Your meetings will be turned into extraordinary events.

Relax in a world apart
4.6
We chose this hotel because it was near to Arles, near to the Alpilles and also near to the Camague and the birdwatching. We found, in addition, a wonderful world-apart in which to relax and just enjoy being there.

What a delightful place to stay if your are visiting nearby Arles (25 minutes away by car) Everything about Le Mas is elegant and appropriately understated. The staff was most accommodating and the food was magnificent -- we had a wonderful dining experience with 12 of our friends who were visiting Arles during the Recontres Photo festival.

Fantastic honeymoon with excellent food, service and friendly staff. Would Definitely recommend this hotel. Pascal was excellent. Thank you

Magical!
4.9
We spent several nights at the Mas de Peint and felt extraordinarily well cared-for. It is a lovely house in a remarkable property in a uniquely beautiful location - but the most important aspect was the utter dedication of the staff to every detail of our comfort. The food was delicious - and made even more so by the solicitude shown by the chef and his staff. We felt we learned so much more about the culture and characteristics of the Camargue not only because we were staying there for enough time to explore it on our own, but because we were also given advice and actual tours of the estate and the area by an estate professional. It was an unforgettable experience.

I've visited the Mas many times before over the past twenty years. That alone tells you how I feel about the place! I'd only add that, if anything, it just gets better!

Le Mas de Peint far exceeded our expectations. A beautiful, authentic, Mas with their own herd of bull, and other wildlife on. Huge property. Warm, kind and welcoming owner and staff. Gorgeous suite! Peaceful stay.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming + All the Benefits of France / Provence
4.8
Outstanding in all respects - the Camargue was everything we had hoped it would be: cowboy France / Jackson Hole in Provence. Peaceful and remote and yet mainstream Provence was an easy day trip. No shortage of things to do and see for an energetic but relaxing rural vacation. The Mas is a cozy, romantic hotel, authentic to the locale and the region's history but with very high quality / designer touches and furnishings and very well maintained. The grounds are spacious and lovely - like having our own private estate. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the food, especially dinner, was truly excellent.

Negative; the decoration of the hotel itself, as well as the rooms are a little old fashioned. Quite expensive to stay and eat. Positive; the very friendly staff; the location, and grounds of the hotel. We love the Camargue, and we think it's the best place to stay in the region.

We loved our stay at Le Mas de Peint. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The rooms were well equipped with comfortable beds and good quality linen. The swimming pool area is charming and the pool spotless...but maybe the changing facilities could be improved...we enjoyed an evening drink there and an excellent meal in the restaurant with fantastic gypsy music. The following day we walked on the estate and swam in the pool followed by a very good lunch on the pool terrace. This is somewhere we would like to visit again for a longer stay - hopefully in the near future.

Le Mas de Peint is a singular experience, serenely luxurious and deeply relaxing; the gardens, pool, and surrounding nature preserves are beautifully maintained, with Camargue horses and the elegant black bulls grazing contentedly - yet safely - nearby. When we arrived, the hotel welcomed us cordially and informatively, setting up a bird walk with a local ornithologist and a horseback ride into the marshes rich with wildlife. The central buildings reflect the centuries of heritage this family has enjoyed in the Camargue. The cuisine is amazing, with the dinner menu more or less decided by the chef, and breakfasts with opulent choices of breads, cheeses, fresh fruits and preserves, and the delectable local sausages and meats. The staff is gracious and alert, and our hostess (the hotel owner) greeted all her guests warmly each evening at dinner.
