« Relish the recipes from the South in a former vestry converted into a restaurant »

Description of the establishment

This outstanding location in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is an ode to life's pleasures. Tucked away under the passageway of the Cité des Antiquaires, in the former 17th century convent, La Prévoté reveals five rooms and suites featuring the colours of erstwhile trades. "La Lavandière" with furniture having acquired a patina effect over the years, "La Glaneuse" bathed in sunlight. Another jewel is hidden away in the former sacristy - in the shape of the gastronomic restaurant run by Jean-Marie Alloin. This is a gourmet landmark popular for its stone vaults with the river running close by and delightful Provence cuisine. The fireplace comforts guests in the winter while the flower-adorned courtyard is a pure delight in summer.

4.3
We were robbed a day before arriving and lost nearly everything. We were very kindly offered coats, umbrellas, battery chargers, pharmacy assistance, and translation and phone assistance which greatly reduced our difficulties. Very small B+B style hotel, with no reception desk and therefore access to the host/owners was a bit limited. The breakfasts were simple but very good. The room, excellent, and fully renovated and tastefully decorated. Getting to the hotel by car winds down some pretty small streets that could be blocked during market mornings. Nice area, close to town market and many restaurants, with unique location straddling a narrow river makes it quite exceptional. Very glad we stayed here.
