Hotel is beautiful, rooms are adequate and comfortable but not 'luxury'. Dinner, however, was exceptional- of the highest quality, and I travel extensively.

We first came to Chateau d'Etoges in 1993 and this was our twenty third visit. We have watched the chateau develop over these years and it has maintained its wonderful atmosphere and fine dining during all the changes. Our only negative observation on this visit was to observe men in shorts at dinner in the wonderful restaurant. One man was in fact wearing football shorts! We believe that this detracted from the elegance that has been the hallmark of the chateau for so many years. We hope that this small matter can be remedied.

A very happy stay in Champagne

A beautiful setting with surroundings in keeping with the history of the chateau. Not spoilt by over modernisation. Very friendly, helpful and charming staff who were also discrete. Regarding this review I would be happy for it to be broadcast but want anonymity so do not give my permission at the end. The terms and conditions state "You permit us to use your name which you provide to us alongside any Content you submit" to which I say not for me.

Lovely experience
3.8
We found the hotel, it's grounds, our room and the staff to be very pleasing. Our evening meal was fantastic and the service in the restaurant was perfect - attentive and helpful but not intrusive. The food was excellent. The only constructive criticism I have is that the wood paneling in the breakfast room looked a little grubby and could be washed down - the rest of the hotel was clean and tidy but this aspect let it down a little. Especially when the tables are set for breakfast to such a high standard - the dusty paneling then stood out. We will come here again, we had a lovely overnight stay overall.

Warm welcome from friendly cheerful staff was the perfect start to our perfect stay. This was our 5th visit and to Chateaux d'Etoge and it gets better each time. The evening dinner menu was new and improved since or last visit. The fine food was enjoyed with wines matched to each course and we were attended by cheerful staff. The character bedrooms reminded us that we were lucky to be guests in a very special place. They also provide a banquet at breakfast for those with hearty appetites.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience of a chateau hotel, a new experience for us, but definitely will be repeating. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the rooms characterful and the restaurant ambience and food were faultless. We were made to feel very special.

Beautiful Chateau and Fabulous Dinner

We stayed here in June. Our dinner was one of the finest we've ever experienced. The property is beautiful and we can see why it inspired Louis XIV when he built Versailles.

On our way to the Reims/Epernay region we spent one night here. Our room was spacious with a spectacular view. The staff is gracious and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast the next morning - I highly recommend both.

We had a fantastic stay in the Chateau, we stayed here on our mini-moon & were treated in style to a wonderful room, picturesque location & totally relaxed experience. The staff could not do more for us. Would definitely return. The decor was old fashioned, but in keeping with where we were. The location is a bit out of town & far from the Champagne tourist attractions like Epernay but the village is cute, quiet & relaxing.

A lovely location south of Reims. Just far enough off the usual north south route to make it a destination hotel. Well worth diverting off the motorway. Lovely rooms and a great restaurant. Will be back.

I first visited Chateau D'Etoges more than 10 years ago. I was so pleased to see that it lived up to all the memories I had regarding the charm of the buildings, the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff.

4.9
Our stay at Chateau Etoges was wonderful, made even better by the most fantastic hot and sunny weather. The Chateau rooms were good and not too hot during the night with the windows open. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of options and the evening meal superb. The wine and champagne is very expensive, but you expect this partly due to the location of the Chateau - they have a captive audience.
