24 miles west of Beaune, in the old city of Autun, this charming hotel is a former 17th century convent, built above the roman ramparts. Magical transition when entering: from city side - a narrow street of the old town behind Saint Lazare Cathedral - to country side - suddenly the large curved windows of the convent offer a panoramic view over the Morvan mountains. Huge terrace, dressed with French style gardens, where you can have dinner in summer, facing the sunset. Gourmet restaurant with outstanding menus mixing pleasures of viewing and tasting. A chapel welcoming weddings, receptions, seminars and 43 very quiet rooms which are progressively renovated by the new owner.
