Standing majestically in the heart of the Vendôme forest, this manor used to be the viscount of Rochefoucauld's base when he fancied a spot of hunting. With its ivy-covered façade, lounges brimming over with flours and shrubs, the high building seems to be trying to blend in with the natural environment. Concealed in the quiet of its two-hectare park, it provides a refuge from the hurly-burly of Paris, which is nevertheless just 40 minutes away. It shelters visitors from the stress and strain of daily life and treats them in a regal manner in particular when its time to have dinner.
