Description
Le Château de Besseuil in the south of Burgundy is a fine restored 16th century property, standing in the midst of a four-hectare vineyard. The estate produces Chardonnay AOC Viré-Clessé and has long been managed by Jean Thévenet, a wine-grower and winemaker with a worldwide reputation. Contemporary influences have been carefully introduced into the lounge areas whilst the rooms feature vibrant colours and sweeping lines. Some suites have a private garden with direct access to the heated pool. The sophisticated seasonal menu gives pride of place to regional produce, whilst an array of complementary wines is available from the cellar.
