The spirit of the basque country is revealed in this splendid 17th century dwelling in Aïnhoa, one of the loveliest villages in France, where Basque pelota is played just outside on the square. The Isabal family, father and son in the kitchen, keep the regional culinary tradition alive here with their delicious dishes served in a typical dining room with red tiled floors and sculpted wooden doors. The hotel also offers a park, a kitchen garden and a superb swimming pool, fitness suite and sauna for relaxation, along with spotless bedrooms with period furniture and a lovely view across the rooftops of the village.
